Normandy: the Orne revealed
Steve Mansfield-Devine
The Orne is the most beautiful, natural and unspoiled département in Lower Normandy, France. It is a region of rolling hills, beautiful gorges and verdant forest.
It is also part of France's agricultural heartland - a working landscape renowned for its apple and pear orchards which produce fine cider and the world-famous calvados.
The Orne is beautiful in all seasons. Spring is bursting with life. Summers are verdant, green and lush. Autumn is full of colour (see the frost-covered apple orchard on the cover). And Winters are starkly serene.
This calendar is the first in a series on the Orne, Normandy and Brittany. The landscape and nature images portray the Orne in all its many moods.
These photographs are taken from Steve Mansfield-Devine's portfolio, which you can view online here »
